The National Observatory on Violence Against Women
In 1997 The Women's Council established a group of experts on men's violence against women. This task force, The National Observatory on Violence Against Women, consists of representatives from institutions, organisations, and individuals working within this field. Together The Observatory possesses a unique insight based on shared research, practical experience and feminist insight.

The database on violence against women is constructed by The National Institute of Public Health, on request of the Minister for Gender Equality. In connection with the database a report has been published. The report can be downloaded under 'links' at this website. The database and the report describe the full magnitude and the characteristics of violence against women in Denmark. A number of data sources have been applied; they are all described in the report.
